Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien was in Boston today to speak with rank-and-file leaders at Local 25’s steward seminar. Alongside Tom Mari, President of Local 25, he discussed the group’s recent accomplishments and how they are helping shape the future of the entire Teamsters Union.



“Local 25 has taken on big fights in the last year, and stewards like you have been indispensable in each and every one of them,” O’Brien said. “You are constantly organizing new workplaces. You are relentlessly fighting for our members. And you are using your militancy to bargain record contracts — including our recent victory over Republic Services. Your leadership is making all of us stronger, and we will continue to rely on you as we move forward together.”
