The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), representing 360,000 fire fighters and emergency medical workers across the United States and Canada, is encouraging local affiliates to support a boycott of all Sutphen fire apparatuses and related equipment until Teamsters Local 284's strike at the corporation's facility in Dublin, Ohio, is resolved.



Local 284 members have been on strike since May and the company has repeatedly refused to bargain in good faith. For decades, Teamsters have proudly represented Sutphen workers who build fire trucks used by communities from coast to coast.



Together with the IAFF's and community’s support, the Teamsters will win this strike at Sutphen and ensure that fire fighters' equipment is always made to the highest standard by workers who are treated with dignity and respect.
