The Teamsters General Executive Board convened in Washington, DC, on Tuesday for its third quarterly meeting, reviewing strategic organizing and contract campaigns, legislative priorities, and member communications from Teamsters headquarters.

At the direction of Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman, the union’s International Vice Presidents, Trustees, and leadership of Teamsters Canada heard reports from the International offices for Organizing, Strategic Initiatives, and Political and Legislative Action. Union leaders discussed ongoing strike support for rank-and-members on picket lines across North America and received detailed reports on union finances and key organizing targets from O’Brien and Zuckerman.

“With tens of thousands of new members joining our ranks each year under this administration, the Teamsters Union continues to move forward with a solid foundation, picking strategic fights, winning critical battles, and engaging supporters and critics in all arenas,” O’Brien said. “The state of our union remains strong. The Teamsters, as ever, are prepared to protect our members on all fronts and at all costs."

The Teamsters General Executive Board will resume meeting in the nations’ capitol on Sept. 10.
