Career and technical education (CTE) teachers in Hesperia, Calif., have overwhelmingly joined Teamsters Local 1932. The new Teamsters play a crucial role in preparing high school students across the Hesperia Unified School District for careers in fields such as health care, technology, construction, and public service.

“CTE teachers are just as valuable as general education teachers — our experience is every bit as important as academic degrees,” said Nickoli Boruff, a 20-year veteran of the Hesperia Unified School District. “This milestone means we finally have equal recognition and protection. The Teamsters picked up the ball and quickly ran to support us.”
