After an overwhelming Teamsters organizing victory in January 2025, Superior Ambulance in Naperville, Illinois, has refused to recognize Teamsters Local 743 as the bargaining representative for more than 50 paramedics and EMTs.



For months, the company has failed to bargain a contract with workers who organized with the Teamsters. Local 743 has filed unfair labor practice charges against the employer — and are now taking the fight to the streets. This week, Teamsters held an informational picket outside Endeavor Health’s Edward Hospital to demand recognition of their union.



“We came out to tell Superior that it is time to come to the table and negotiate with its employees who voted overwhelmingly to join Teamsters Local 743 to improve our wages and working conditions,” said Matt Busse, a Superior Ambulance Teamster. “Superior needs to honor our vote, follow the law, and respect our rights on the job.”
