Workers at Neogen in Lansing, Michigan, have voted overwhelmingly to join Teamsters Local 243.



The group organized with the Teamsters to secure strong wages, benefits, job security, and improved working conditions. Despite the company’s unfair labor practices during the organizing process, Local 243 emerged victorious, and Neogen workers are excited to be Teamsters.



“Sometimes you have to say enough is enough and fight for what is right, no matter how long it takes or how difficult it gets,” said Mike Miller, a warehouse worker at Neogen and a new member of Local 243. “This win proves that when you come together, work hard, and never give up, positive change can happen.”
