Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien hit UPS’s biggest hub in New York on Tuesday, meeting with full-time drivers and walking the belts with part-time UPSers on 43rd Street in Manhattan. O’Brien was joined by Vinnie Perrone, International Trustee and President of Teamsters Local 804. In New York and beyond, UPS Teamsters are battling intense summer heat and overtime demands from management. But the rank-and-file are engaged in fierce contract enforcement of their current National Master Agreement. UPS must honor all provisions of the historic contract ratified in 2023, including the urgent delivery of heat safety protections.
