Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien, Teamsters Central Region International Vice President and Joint Council 32 President Tom Erickson, and hundreds of Teamsters from Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin came together for the Joint Council 32 Conference on Thursday. The event focused on organizing new members, growing union density at major employers, launching strategic campaigns, and fighting back against so-called “right to work” laws and other threats to workers' rights.



“We’re building more power for rank-and-file Teamsters across the heartland,” Erickson said. “Organizing new members, taking on corporate giants, and pushing back against anti-worker laws — this is how we win and secure the strongest possible contracts. The energy at this conference proves that Teamsters are ready to grow stronger and fight smarter in every corner of our region.”
