    The corporate greed of United Airlines has been on full display at the bargaining table as national contract negotiations for 10,000 Teamsters airline mechanics carry on.



    “United wants to pick between higher pay for workers or simply not shipping our work to foreign nations. It’s disgraceful,” said Ryan Pachasa, a technician from Teamsters Local 986 at Portland International Airport serving on the negotiating committee. “United can easily afford to fairly compensate us and respect American labor. This company is growing. They’re buying planes and adding routes. They have the money — they just don’t want to share it with working people.”
